Course Description:
AIA = 2 HSW LU, GBCI = Self report
Learn how to build, remodel, or buy green homes that improve energy and water efficiency, increase comfort, and reduce maintenance. The sessions are designed to provide a choice of topics based on your green building needs.

Austin Energy Green Building team members host the sessions and provide insight and experience on sustainable building practices.

Continuing Education Credits:
• AEGB staff will report your 2 AIA Learning Units (HSW/LUs).
• Self report your GBCI CEUs.
• You can find your certificates in the “My Certificates” under the profile menu.
• Email the certificate to your AEGB representative if you are taking this course for a rating measure.

Learning Objectives:
• Designing and right-sizing mechanical systems for comfort and efficiency
• Comparing high-efficiency lighting and appliances
• Selecting venting, water heating, and plumbing systems
• Exploring zero-energy capable home features and strategies

Course Length:
The entire course takes about two hours to complete. You can start and stop as needed throughout the course.
